On the most recent SurrealPolitiks and associated member show, I unveiled some of the Artificial Intelligence stuff I have been making some progress on regarding image generation. The output on that front has been pretty impressive, and in parallel I’ve been working on text generation.

I currently have a functional chat bot, not entirely dissimilar to ChatGPT, which responds largely in my writing style after having gone through several different training scenarios with it. To describe this as imperfect would be charitable, but the progress has been encouraging.

At the time of this writing, I am 88% of the way through a training session based on the entirety of everything I have ever posted to ChristopherCantwell.net. This had estimated it would take about 9 hours, so I estimate the training should be complete by 4pm, and I am eager to see the results.

While that training runs, I have been using another computer to experiment with voice cloning and text to speech and speech to text. This can work in conjunction with the chat bot. That would allow a near real time voice conversation with an AI bot that speaks and sounds like me.

My goal is to have something like this reasonably functional by show time at 9:30pm US Eastern, and to play with it on air interactive with the live audience.

If that fails, or is not impressive enough to fill a 2 hour show, I’ll go do some Ome.TV Live streaming.
