We do our best to keep your information secure from prying eyes. We have SSL, strong passwords for all administrative functions, and attempt to keep all of our software up to date. Every third party who we permit to work on our systems must sign a legally binding non-disclosure agreement. We’ll never sell your information to a third party, and we’ll never give your information over to any government if we can reasonably avoid it. When required by law, we will comply with the law.
We do however share certain aspects of your information with third parties in order to facilitate certain functions of this website. For example, your email address is stored by our mailing list provider to send you mail. Our comments system is operated by a third party, called Disqus. Third party payment processors will receive some portion of your information to process payments. We use a third party service to print shipping labels and packing slips for orders that require shipping. When clicking on our affiliate or other outside links, you may choose to share information with those websites, and that sort of thing.
We do not go out of our way to collect information about you in any case. If you buy a product that requires shipping, we necessarily require your address. If you pay with a credit card, we necessarily need to get your true identity. If you pay in cryptocurrency, you are of course welcome to present yourself to us in any way you like. For us to send you emails, we’ll necessarily need an email address.
You have the option of deleting your account at any time, by clicking this link while signed in. Every email we send contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
WordPress (the software which runs this website) gives us the option of exporting all collected data on any registered user to comply with the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When legally required, we will comply with this requirement. However, given the controversial nature of this website, we must apply the strictest lawful standard to protect this information. So, if we are not legally required to hand over information, we will not be inclined to do so. If there is any question as to our legal obligation, we will be inclined to withhold the information until the question is resolved.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us directly.
