A Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy is being held on $10k bail after allegedly attempting to coerce sexual favors from a prostitute, on New Year’s Eve. He probably would have gotten away with it too, if he hadn’t double parked in the 1500 block of North Avers.
Chicago Police questioned Fernando Rodriguez, who works for the Sheriff’s Civil Process unit, when they noticed the parking violation of his orange Dodge Charger. Rodriguez, 52, attempted to wave them off by flashing his badge and saying “It’s ok guys, I’m on the job.”
That’s when a 37 year old prostitute got out of his vehicle. She informed the police officers that the River Grove man had attempted to coerce sexual favors from her by, brandishing his holstered handgun. “Take care of me the right way and I’ll let you walk.” he allegedly told the woman, who police say is a “known prostitute”. When officers arrived, Rodriguez “grabbed her left arm and stated: ‘Be cool.’”
