Thoughts for Tonight’s SurrealPolitiks Member Chat 20230503

Let us begin in the Realpolitik vein by trying to determine if the following story is purity spiraling stupidity, or straightforward corruption.

I was shocked this morning to read a story in Revolver News about pro-life groups turning on Donald Trump. If you listened to SurrealPolitiks Episode 1, you’ll recall I spent some time talking about the pro-life movement, and this story may be instructive.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America has come out against Donald Trump’s candidacy for President. They say that his stance on abortion, that it is an issue for the individual states to decide, is a “morally indefensible position for a self-proclaimed pro-life presidential candidate.”

Strictly speaking, this is not incorrect. There exists a nuanced spectrum ideas within what could broadly be defined as “the pro-life movement,” but the orthodox theory is that life begins at conception and abortion is thus murder. The idea that murder is a thing to be debated in 50 different legislatures under the protection of the same military, is understandably unappealing to those who view things this way.

Then again, if the pro-life movement had spent the last 50 years insisting that the President of the United States single handedly ban abortion through executive order, they would probably have less power in the Untied States than White Nationalists. They would probably spend their days on Telegram debating the merits of murdering abortionists, and calling eachother feds. A quarter of whom would be right, a quarter of whom would be wrong, and half of whom would themselves be feds.

Fortunately for them, and for the babies, the pro-life movement did not do this. They focused their attention on the overturn of Roe v. Wade, and though it took a long time, they got it. They also became one of the most powerful interest groups in the country. They made broad alliances of otherwise diverse interests, which allowed them to have a say in who wins Republican primaries, who gets nominated to judicial appointments at every level, most notably the Supreme Court, and built a fundraising machine which has funded an army of lawyers who litigate tirelessly on behalf of their cause.

I stated in episode 1 that;

Just as importantly, the pro life movement did not simply disband when they achieved the goal that had become their central organizing principle. Now that Roe has been overturned, a new phase begins. Saving the unborn is the mission now. Whether that means lobbying for state and local laws, or seeking a personhood amendment to the constitution, I imagine there are differences of opinion on that, and they won’t have nearly the coalition building power that overturning Roe did. But there’s a lot that we can learn from the Right to Life movement, and I will return to this subject.

And here we find ourselves.

There are few things more capable of ruining a person or organization than success itself. One would think the pro-life groups would have internalized the Biblical warning of Proverbs 16:18 that “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

One thing any pro-lifer ought to know is that their cause is not well served by Democrat rule. If they have the slightest bit of sense, they also ought to know that nobody seeking the Presidency in 2024 is going to hasten his journey to the White House, by stating out loud that the federal government should impose the life at conception doctrine upon the entire country through federal law.

So if the Susan B. Anthony group wants to take that position, they will soon find themselves well outside the Overton Window, and unable to influence political outcomes.

But it actually does not appear that they have taken that position, as I’ll discuss further when we meet tonight at 9:30pm Eastern.

Tucker Carlson’s text messages have the Left all in a froth

Another fun story on my radar is a revelation about Tucker Carlson’s text messages, which were obtained in discovery during the Dominion defamation case. On January 7th 2021, Tucker used the word “white men” without calling them monsters, and this is what our chattering propagandists consider Nazism these days.

A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living shit out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is?

As far as I’m concerned, the most offensive part of this message is its inaccuracy. White men didn’t come to dominate the Earth by fighting fair. They came to dominate the Earth by bringing superior technology to battles and overwhelming their opponents. More to the point, as I said on Telegram;

To answer your question, Mr. Carlson, you’re better than him because **** like this crosses your mind when you contemplate ethics.

These people don’t contemplate ethics except as a means to mimic concern for them, so as to make themselves more efficient manipulators.

That’s why they “always accuse you of what they themselves are doing”, because they have observed that this will prevent you from doing the things which are necessary to stop them from destroying your country and everything and everyone within it that you love.

Don’t stop contemplating ethics. Hold onto the sense of guilt that comes with seeing justice rendered.

But let justice nonetheless be rendered.

As we go forward, let us remind ourselves to act sooner, so as to prevent the chaos from reaching this stage again in the future.

Thus sparing ourselves the guilt, of doing this again.

Of course, the Left is not bent out of shape about violence. That’s almost too obvious to need stating and I won’t waste your time with this. In fact, they are probably far more offended by his ethical contemplations and the idea that violence is not an appropriate response to political disagreements. In their view, this is the only appropriate response.

More to the point, though it would be a stretch to call this “hate speech,” these people are not at all averse to stretching, and what this demonstrates is that Tucker Carlson is by no means so colorblind as he felt obligated to pretend while working at Fox News. Just days before his firing, the dissident Right was in a revolt against Mr. Carlson, claiming that he was attacking White racial consciousness, though evidence of this claim was found lacking, upon closer inspection.

The idea that White Men fight in a particular way is the idea that race carries connotations beyond “skin color”. It is to say that behavior, and even character, have a racial component to them.

This internalized racial consciousness, lacking in enmity for others, is becoming more common in America, and it stands in contrast to an entirely hostile racial consciousness demonstrated by Left wing anti-White race hate that erupts into violence on a routine basis.

It used to be that any positive mention of White people was tantamount to Nazism and de facto criminalized, laws to the contrary be damned. What has begun to emerge in response to Left wing anti-White hate is a compulsory ethnic consciousness among White Americans. They have begun to adopt this quite reluctantly, after spending generations trying to tell themselves that race was not a relevant factor in their lives, and that people should all and always be judged as individuals without regard to race.

But you can only attack a group for so long before they begin to view themselves as a group. That spark of racial consciousness sets in motion a chain reaction that cannot be stopped by mere finger wagging and name calling.

I look forward to speaking with you at 9:30pm Eastern this evening…
