Written by There’s a very amusing opinion piece in the Telegraph I’d like to share with you today about the “New Left who think Hamas are good and that Swastikas are woke”.
Amusing on a number of levels, Ryan Zickgraf makes the point I have been making to those on the Right who would consider the Hamas fans allies against the intellectual force behind Leftism more broadly. These people are essentially taking their White oppressor narrative and lumping in the Jews while viewing Palestinians as the brown oppressed minority.
You don’t have to be a fan of the state of Israel or its inhabitants to see the problem here. Anything that gives fuel to this fire is dangerous to decent people everywhere.
On the bright side, it is unlikely that this particular fire will gain much traction.
You can be a bomb throwing Left wing fanatic and oppose Donald Trump. All the levers of the System will click into place for you and not much in the way of consequences will follow your criminal behavior.
You can be an Antifa terrorist and attack the Alt Right in the streets and you’ll have all the forces of the Democrat Party, as well as the Mitch McConnell wing of the GOP, all bending over backwards to make sure you are seen as the hero.
And when you become so certain of your invincibility that you decide to take on the Jews in their homeland, by attacking the Country whose military and economy sustain the existence of that State, this is the point at which you become familiar with the concept of repercussions.
To the extent there is anything good that might come from the Israel Hamas war, it is this. The American Far Left is about to get introduced to the real power structure of America. They are about to get a long overdue lesson in the art of suffering.
We ought to hope they do not learn this lesson very quickly. Let us pray that they resist until all of their organizations are decapitated and left leaderless. Let us will into being a day when they are as rudderless as any movement has ever been, and their violent, deranged, criminal mobs are left without any guidance on how to direct their mayhem.
And when that violence ceases to serve the interests of the power structure, let’s kick back with a bit of popcorn and enjoy the show.
