Written by I’ve released a series of pieces recently that you might say were more socially conservative than most of us are used to seeing in libertarian circles. No advocacy of government or any other force, no invocations of religion obviously, just making some simple observations about how things are going in the world and the libertarian movement in particular, as it pertains to some social issues.
This has sparked a great deal of totally predictable outrage from left leaning libertarians who now suddenly think social issues should not be discussed. They’ve practically gone full brutalist on me, suggesting that I should only be talking about non-aggression, and leaving these social issues out of the discussion.
That actually seems like an eminently reasonable suggestion. It’s a suggestion I’ve made myself more than once, I wish these leftist pieces of garbage would shut the hell up about all their cryptomarxist egalitarian smut. Nobody seems to mind when you present the social issue in the light of left wing fanaticism. As far as most people are concerned in libertarian circles, social issues are awesome to discuss, so long as only one side of the issue is discussed. We can, and should, talk about race, gender roles, homosexuality, alternatives to monogamy, transgenderism, and all manner of other subjects. We should only discuss them however, from a left liberal perspective where white people are oppressing blacks, gender roles are evil, marriage is stupid, homosexuality is to be celebrated, and transgenderism is a wonderful progress of human sexuality.
Contradict that dogma, and you will be shouted down and ostracized, although you’ve been completely reasonable and advocated no government force.
Let a few people agree with you on the conservative side of the issue, and suddenly you’ve started a “culture war”.
Funny how so few people seemed to be complaining about culture war artillery being lobbed at conservatives over the years, as long as the conservatives did nothing to defend culture. It’s only a culture war, when culture fights back, apparently.

In other news, Oregon is giving 15 year olds State funded sexual reassignment surgeries without parental consent, I’m sure that’s going to go over spectacularly. Jeb Bush is giving Hillary Clinton a liberty award on the eve of the Benghazi anniversary, children are being given anti-psychotic meds without a diagnosis, and despite women having more mental illness than men, the boys are getting the bulk of the medications. Is masculinity being punished with poison? Of course it is.
