The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference, bills itself as a unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies. Coming this March, the festival was planning to host two panels relating to the GamerGate controversy, which have since been cancelled. The canceled panels were titled, “SavePoint: A Discussion on the Gaming Community” and “Level Up: Overcoming Harassment in Games,” both were related to the social climate of online gaming communities. According to a statement by SXSW, the panels were cancelled due to threats of physical violence.
It’s an unpopular thing to say, but perhaps outright threatening to kill social justice warriors is the only real answer to their lunacy. It isn’t as if these fuckin animals have any respect for peacefully negotiating conflicts – they threaten violence regularly, they dox people, they seek legislation, two of these fuckin fanatics even testified before the United Nations. Is it time to violently suppress the left?
One Sheriff seems to think so… In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Milwaukee Co., WI Sheriff David Clarke sounded of on a wave of protests throughout the country aimed at police for alleged police brutality led by the Black Lives Matter movement. He said that police should stop protecting the demonstrators, calling them “sub human” and “garbage”. According to Sheriff Clarke, New Yorkers should clash with the protesters for disrupting their lives, and then police could come in and arrest the demonstrators.
For all my dislike of cops, I do like this Clarke guy. He seems like a hard worker. Oops, did I say hard worker? I’m sorry, please don’t call me a racist. MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry took offense to a guest’s use of the term ‘hard worker’ Saturday, arguing that it diminished the experiences of slaves.
In other news, bacon causes cancer. Time to take up smoking? Is violent crime skyrocketing because of cell phone cameras? Is corruption an inherent part of our financial system?
