Free Talk Live is a nationally syndicated broadcast radio show which airs live from Keene, New Hampshire, the city I call home. The show purports to be centered around “spreading the ideas of liberty” and so for a time I took a great deal of pride and pleasure in being a co-host of the program myself before I was fired a few months back. The show primarily features Ian Freeman, and Mark Edge, with a rotating lineup of other co-hosts from the area. FTL has been reaching listeners for upwards of a decade, since the duo met while working for Clear Channel in Florida.
Mark, who also serves as the primary advertising salesperson for the show, has just announced his departure from the airwaves. It is implied he may continue to serve as the sales rep for advertising. In a clip posted to the show’s SoundCloud, Mark goes on for about ten minutes explaining the reason for his departure, a lack of audience interest in funding the program.
